There was a single gas station in cities across Alamance County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $3.47 per gallon in the week ending Dec. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.

The average reported cost of premium gas in cities within Alamance County was $3.71 per gallon.

Of the 99 reported gas stations in cities within Alamance County, 31 offer premium gas.

The average reported price of premium gas in North Carolina was $3.65, compared to $3.64 the week before.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 8% more for average goods and food they needed.
