On Friday, Feb. 7, former Western Alamance High School standout Taylor Apple’s current college team, the East Carolina Pirates, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The game took place at Carolina Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Cavaliers this season.

The Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at Carolina Softball Stadium against Saint Francis Red Flash.
