On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Southern Alamance High School standout Sidney Martin’s current college team, the Appalachian State Mountaineers, lost 6-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Syracuse Orange.
The game took place at Jack Turner Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Orange this season.
The Mountaineers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 5 p.m. at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium against Liberty Lady Flames.
