Join other K-8 classroom and nonformal educators as we explore activities in the Project Learning Tree K-8 Curriculum Guide. Every participant will leave the workshop with the PLT K-8 Activity Guide which includes 96 activities correlated to the NC Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards. This workshop will also utilize the Secondary Module, Focus on Forests, for educators working with middle and high school students. The PLT activity guides are provided free of charge to participants through support from the NC Forestry Association. CEU renewal credits are available. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I or II in the EE Certification Program (K-8).
STEM Connections? Differentiated instruction? Literature links? The PLT activity guide covers it all!!! The PreK-8 guide is correlated to the Common Core (math and ELA) as well as to the NC Essential Standards (science and social studies). Participants will learn about the materials through direct engagement in the PLT activities throughout the workshop. More details will be sent prior to the workshop. Please bring a lunch and prepare to be outside.
