State Rep. Dennis Riddell (R-Alamance) reminded voters of early elections earlier in February.

According to his Facebook page, Riddell encouraged his constituents to turn out for early voting.

"Every vote counts," Riddell said.

On the same day, Riddell also posted that he took a trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to visit the SS Wright.

The SS Wright is a helicopter maintenance vessel and accommodates repairs as well.

"The ship sailed to Morehead City for a day visit then went out for several days of training and maneuvers. Morehead City (and Wilmington) are continuing to grow," Riddell said. "Good news for North Carolina commerce and jobs."

Riddell referenced an article from AJOT that stated that North Carolina State Ports Authority have enjoyed a container volume increase of 8% in the month of February, which is a positive sign for local jobs. AJOT reports that North Carolina's ports are among the fastest growing in the country on the East Coast.

Riddell represents District 64.
