Alamance County-based nonprofit organizations interested in applying for tourism grants of up to $5,000 can apply through Tuesday, Dec. 15.

The Alamance County Tourism Development Authority’s Tourism Reimbursement Grant Program seeks to promote tourism by funding efforts by local nonprofit organizations and projects that are either located in the county or have a board made up of at least 50% by county residents, the county said in a release about the grants. The county has set aside $25,000 for the program, and up to $5,000 can be awarded to a single organization each year.

However, it is also possible that an organization may receive a $10,000 grant for a two-year cycle, the county said in the release.

The application window is open and will go through Tuesday, Dec. 15, with recipients notified by Friday, Jan. 15, the county said in the release.

For more information or to apply, organization representatives are asked to contact Grace VandeVisser at 336-570-1444 or mail to P.O. Box 519/200 S. Main Street, Burlington, NC 27216-0519.
