COUNTY OF LENOIR: COVID-19 Daily Update for Tuesday, Aug. 3

Update

County of Lenoir issued the following announcement on Aug. 3. 

* N.C. confirmed cases: 1,058,887 (+10,811 or +1 percent since July 30) 

* N.C. deaths: 13,670 (+35 or +0.3 percent since July 30) 

* Percent of N.C. residents tested who are positive: 10.6 (+1.1 percent since July 30)

* Percent of Lenoir County residents tested who are positive: 5.5 (+0.9 percent since July 30)

* N.C. currently hospitalized: 1,359 (+191 or +16.4 percent since July 30)

* Eastern Region currently hospitalized: 143 (+25 or +21.2 percent since July 30)

* Lenoir County confirmed cases: 6,426 (+34 or +0.6 percent since July 30)

* New Lenoir County confirmed cases — last 14 days: 121 (+27 or +28.7 percent since July 30)

* New Lenoir County confirmed cases — last seven days: 85 (+9 or +11.8 percent since July 30)

* Lenoir County cases per 100,000 residents: 11,485 (+63 or +0.6 percent since July 30)

* Lenoir County deaths: 136 (no changes since July 30) 

* Lenoir County vaccinations (partially vaccinated): 24,345 (+171 or +0.7 percent since July 30; 43 percent of county residents)

* Lenoir County vaccinations (fully vaccinated): 22,593 (+83 or +0.4 percent since July 30; 40 percent of county residents)

* Alert system: Light yellow (moderate impact)
