Alamance County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Unfortunately, we’ve received calls again regarding phone scammers asking for money. The most recent was a resident who received a call from someone claiming to be with a police department asking for donations. If you receive these types of calls, please do NOT give them any information, money, or gift cards.
