Burlington Fire Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
With schools starting back next week here are a few safety reminders for the roadway to protect you and our kids!
• Stop and yield to pedestrians crossing at a crosswalks!
• Never go around a school bus that has its stop arm out!
• Be alert and watch for children!
• Pay attention to speed limits in school zones!
• When the red lights are flashing, don't be passing!
