High Point Police Department issued the following announcement on Sep 24.
On September 20, 2021 at approximately 1900 hours, High Point Police personnel were inundated with tips and information regarding a threat posted on social media. The threat included the mention of several Guilford County Schools and several firearms were displayed. Officers and detectives worked diligently throughout the evening to develop a suspect.
As a result of the investigation, warrants were issued for Kayshaun Williams (B/M 18 of Jamestown) for False Report of Mass Violence on Educational Property. With the assistance of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, Williams was located at his residence and arrested for this incident. He was interviewed by High Point Police and admitted to making the threat on social media. Williams received a $250,000 secured bond and was confined to the High Point Jail at approximately 3:30am.
