ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Male Charged with Felony for Illegally Modifying a Firearm

Alamance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Oct. 2. 

On September 23, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit seized numerous firearms from Evan Randall King due to a Domestic Violence Protective Order in which Mr. King had to surrender all weapons to the Sheriff’s Office. After consulting with the ATF, investigators confirmed that one of the shotguns seized had been modified. As a result, Mr. King was charged with possessing a weapon of mass destruction and given a $5,000 secured bond.
