Alamance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
On September 15, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit responded to a report of financial fraud that involved an 80-year-old female. After an investigation, officers verified that her caregiver, Lori Coble, had taken money from the victim over the course of several months. Ms. Coble was charged with two felonies and given a written promise to appear.
If you have concerns that a disabled and/or elderly adult is being left alone, being pushed and shoved, having their money taken, or is unsafe, please call the Department of Social Services and make an Adult Protective Services referral.
