ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: ACSO Recovers Stolen Vehicle

Alamance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Nov. 1. 

On October 26, 2021, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle in the area of NC 54 Highway and Interstate 40/85 matching the description of a stolen vehicle. Deputies then conducted a traffic stop on the 2005 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado which was verified to be stolen.

The driver was identified as Ms. Ashley Nichole Ayer who was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center. While retrieving Ms. Ayer’s belonging from the vehicle, deputies observed the odor of marijuana and subsequently located multiple glass smoking pipes, scales, and storage bags. Ms. Ayers was given a $10,000 unsecured bond.
