ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Female Charged with Felony for Identity Theft

Arrested

Alamance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Oct. 28. 

On August 20, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a victim believed that her identify was used when a previous friend was pulled over for criminal charges. The victim was notified that she had two outstanding failure to appear warrants.

Alamance County Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating the case and, over the course of several weeks, were able to obtain information and video footage that confirmed that Diamond Gilmore committed identify theft by using the victim’s identification when pulled over by law enforcement. Ms. Gilmore was charged and given a $1,000 secured bond.
