Alamance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.
The Alamance Narcotics Enforcement Team (ANET) conducted a drug investigation at 171 Salvet Street, Apartment 209 in Burlington, NC. After a two-month investigation, a significant number of narcotics were seized.
On December 2, 2021, investigators followed a suspect identified as Miguel Angel Lopez leaving the Salvet Street address in a vehicle. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office stopped and arrested Lopez on the highway in Guilford County where three kilograms of cocaine were seized.
Investigators followed up with a search warrant at 171 Salvet Street, Apartment 209 in Burlington. The search of the apartment yielded 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 3 kilograms of fentanyl, ¼ kilogram methamphetamine, 6.5 ounces of MDMA (Ecstasy), 6.5 lbs. of marijuana, four firearms, and a significant quantity of U.S. Currency. Two other suspects were identified in the investigation as co-conspirators of Lopez. They have not been located at this time.
