Town of Oak Ridge issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.
The Town of Oak Ridge is participating in the 2022 Urban Archery Season which is from January 15 - February 20.
All hunting is to be done on private land only and hunters will be required to obtain permission from the landowner(s). The N.C. Wildlife Commission’s regulations book does direct hunters to contact participating towns to confirm if there are additional restrictions. We currently do not have any additional restrictions outside of what is already permitted by the N.C. Wildlife Commission. The Town does not keep or maintain a list of landowners who would allow hunting on their property. Hunters will be responsible for making those contacts and seeking permission to hunt on their own.
