ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: ACSO Charges Male for Statutory Rape

Arrested

Alamance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Dec. 18. 

On December 14, 2021, deputies with the Alamance County Special Victims Unit and Criminal Investigations Division responded to Burch Bridge Road in reference to a sexual assault. Upon arrival, investigators were advised that the juvenile victim had been raped by Francisco Javier Monroy Vargas over the course of three years. Mr. Vargas was charged with first degree forcible rape, communicating threats, statutory rape of a child less than 15, statutory sex offense with a child less than 15, indecent liberties with a child, and second degree forcible rape.
