Pleasant Garden Fire Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Make sure you follow these tips to prevent fires this holiday season:
Never leave burning candles unattended.
Only use decorations that are flame-retardant or not flammable.
Place your tree away from heat sources.
Turn off the decorations when you go to bed.
