County of Guilford issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
In preparation for the holidays, the Guilford County Division of Public Health (GCDPH) is encouraging all community members to get tested for COVID-19 before gathering with friends and family.
To better assist with the COVID-19 testing process, the GCDPH has requested and received 500 Ellume 15-Minute Home COVID-19 test kits from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).
These test kits will be available to community members tomorrow, Wednesday, December 22, 2 PM- 5 PM for curbside pick-up at the following locations:
- Guilford County Department of Social Services (1203 Maple Street, Greensboro, NC 27405)
- Roy Culler Jr. Senior Center (921 Eastchester Dr Suite 1230, High Point, NC, 27262) Once you arrive, please remain in your vehicle, and follow the on-site instructions for pick-up.
Test kits are limited and will remain available while supplies last and will be distributed on a first-come- first served basis. No more than 4 test kits may be collected per family.
Ellume COVID-19 test kits:
- Are app-based, meaning a Bluetooth enabled mobile device or tablet is required to submit and receive results
- Are suitable for ages two and older
- Provide results within 15-minutes
- Are clinically proven for use for individuals with and without symptoms
- Comply with CDC reporting requirements and automatically reports the required data to health authorities through a secure encrypted, HIPAA compliant, cloud connection
- Provide step-by-step instructions for users
- Do not test for previous COVID-19 infections or immunity
