City of Graham issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
Applicants must be able to perform a variety of job duties, including, but not limited to, patrolling to prevent crime, enforcing city, state and federal laws, conducting investigations, collecting evidence and other data, investigating motor vehicle crashes, and engaging in community policing activities. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, integrity, good judgment, and the ability to work under pressure.
Additional requirements include possessing a high school diploma or its equivalent, be able to pass a background check, and must possess a valid state of North Carolina driver’s license or the ability to obtain one upon relocating. North Carolina BLET certification or an out of state equivalent is preferred, but not mandatory.
The competitive starting salary of $41,922 will be based on the candidate’s level of certification and experience and is supplemented by an excellent benefits package.
