City of High Point issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
In an effort to allow the secondary roads more time to thaw, waste collections are canceled today, Tuesday, Jan. 18, and we will not collect yard or bulk waste this week. We plan to resume collections tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 19.
Modified Collection Schedule:
Tuesday Route – Wednesday, Jan. 19
Wednesday Route – Thursday, Jan. 20
Thursday Route – Friday, Jan. 21
With the second winter storm forecasted for Thursday night, service may be delayed or canceled. We will try to collect Monday's route later in the week, but it may be pushed to Monday, Jan. 24. We will continue to update you, and we appreciate your patience.
