County of Guilford issued the following announcement on June 2.
It can be hard to know how to talk your kids about tragic and traumatic events, like the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. The reality is that kids WILL hear about it, and the hardest part about scary information is when kids have to figure it out alone. Talking about it lets them know that it’s safe to process difficult feelings with you and that you are there to help them.
