City of Burlington Police Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 4.
You are invited to become a Burlington Police community partner and provide your input for updating our community-based strategic plan for the next three years for the police department.
The Burlington Police Department is committed to community engagement. We seek to update our strategic plan and learn more about the focus areas the Burlington area desires. In friendly and local venues, we will seek to create an environment that encourages discussion and allows for community feedback/input, which is the foundation of any community policing initiative.
During the month of August, we will host several two-hour community-based strategic planning sessions, which will allow us to bring our staff together with community leaders and residents.
