City of High Point issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
As promised, we have confirmed the cause of Tuesday's power outage.
It was the result of a breaker failure at our delivery point at North Substation.
Our awesome crews were able to make repairs and do not anticipate any subsequent issues moving forward.
Fortunately, we have a system in place where we can shift power loads off of certain infrastructure to make repairs so customers only experience a minimal outage.
