CITY OF BURLINGTON PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT: Holiday Magic, a Downtown Burlington Christmas Tradition

City of Burlington City issued the following announcement on Dec. 8.

Holiday Magic, a Downtown Burlington Christmas tradition, is this Saturday 12/10 from 4pm – 7pm. Hosted by the Burlington Recreation and Parks Special Events Division, Holiday Magic fills the Historic Depot and surrounding streets with holiday-themed activities & photo ops, food & craft vendors, live music & performances, and of course- SANTA! 

Catch the Holiday Express mini-train ride on Front St. ($2/ride).  Check out the live dance performances by Alamance Fine Arts Academy and Karizma. Listen to live music from Neville’s Quarter and Lisa on Front St. and Lisa Kyle & Damon on Spring St. 

Photo opportunities include Santa & Ms. Claus, Snow Princesses, and a life-size snow globe. 

The Baked Good food truck will have hot cocoa and delicious deserts. Downtown restaurants and merchants will be getting into the Christmas spirit as well. 

Community partners including the Burlington Police and Fire Departments, May Memorial  Library, Macon’s Martial Arts, the Animal Park at the Conservators Center, NC Enrollment Brokers, and the United Way will all have booths and activities.  

Alamance Children’s Theater and Alamance Fine Arts Academy both have live theater performances. Tickets are required for these performances and can be bought through the presenters. Alamance Fine Arts presents HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm. Alamance Children’s Theater presents THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE at 7pm.
