On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Western Alamance High School standout Taylor Apple’s current college team, the East Carolina Pirates, won 8-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Saint Francis Red Flash.
The game took place at Carolina Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Red Flash this season.
The Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium against Radford Highlanders.
