Town of Elon issued the following announcement on Oct. 8.
Loose leaf pick up will begin October 15th and run through the end of January.
Leaves should be placed neatly in a row or pile that can be easily accessed by the automated leaf machine.
Make sure piles are free of rocks, sticks, dirt and other debris. These can clog up the machine, cause damage and greatly delay this service.
Piles found with debris in them will NOT be picked up. Do NOT bag the leaves or grass.
